Turning Women On: the 5 biggest myths
By Jack ConwayIn 1983, Tom Cruise made an appearance in a classically bad movie called, "Losin' It."
The premise of the movie was more or less based around a young Tom Cruise trying to lose his virginity.
Throughout the movie, a secondary character keeps telling Tom about "Spanish Fly," and how it'll help him get laid.
Obviously the concept of "Spanish Fly" is a myth. But as a kid, you're very likely to believe a lot of myths about how to turn women on. Certainly you can remember those days.
But now you're an adult, and you have enough experience under your belt to know what's myth and what's reality.
Though when it comes to online dating, there still seems to be some gray area involved in truth and fiction when it comes to "what turns women on."
So let's clear these myths up today â and get on with meeting some women. Shall we?
A few months ago, I randomly surveyed more than 500 different women throughout the U.S. We do this every so often to test different ideas.
This particular survey involved asking these women, all looking for different types of relationships (serious, random dating and physical), to look at 20 different profiles, and then report to us as to whether or not they found anything in our test profiles that they thought was a turn-off â while our test subjects legitimately thought would be considered a turn-on.
Poor saps.
Hereâs what we found:
Myth #1
If you have a good body, you should appear âshirtlessâ in your online photo.
I knew even before we began that women seeking serious relationships would find this to be a turn off. And I had a sneaking suspicion that women seeking random dates would also feel similarly. However, not one of our women seeking physical relationships found these pictures to be a turn-on either.
Of all the women in our survey 461 stated, in one form or another, that they found that type of picture to be cheesy and arrogant.
So just because you have a great body, doesnât mean you should be posing like youâre some kind of body builder in your online photo.
However, if you do have a good body, you can still let these women see it â without being so obvious.
Instead of posing shirtless, try wearing a shirt thatâs a bit tight. Not so tight that you look like a goofball, but just tight enough to show off your build. And donât flex!!!
Itâs obvious. And these women see right through it.
And if you donât have the best body ever, say youâre a bit overweight â keep your pictures from the chest up. No woman will be turned on by a beer gut!
But back to our shirtlessâ¦dateless guy â
While many women are certainly going to find a man with a nice body attractive, most will find humility a lot more attractive.
Posing and flexing with your shirt off will make you look childish, arrogant, cheesy, self-consumedâ¦and very, very confused about whatâs âimportantâ to women.
Join me next week when we move on to myth #2 â a common mistake made my practically every man on every dating site. Avoid this mistake, and youâll stand out above the rest â looking better than everyone else, without even trying.
Until then,
Happy Scoring!
